Why was my account suspended?

The community rules, and the lighter steps KJPTV takes before a suspension.

KJPTV suspends an account when a member breaks the community rules and a lighter step hasn't worked. For the most serious cases, it can happen right away.

The community rules cover

  • Harassment or threats
  • Hate speech
  • Sexual content
  • Spam or flooding
  • Impersonation
  • Sharing someone's private information
  • Solicitation or giveaways
  • Piracy or recording
  • Recruiting people away from KJPTV
  • Pitching yourself for hire
  • Spoilers
  • Cheating the referral program, like signing yourself up or using fake accounts on your own code

Most problems stop well short of a suspension

The steps, lightest first:

  1. The post or message is removed.
  2. Chat is turned off: you can read, but not post, in every room and party.
  3. Hosting watch parties is turned off.
  4. The account is suspended.
  5. The membership is terminated.

Threats, sharing private information, and recording or pirating KJPTV titles can go straight to a suspension.

Every staff action is recorded in KJPTV's audit log, with who did it and why. Nobody can edit or delete that record.

Think we got it wrong? You can appeal the decision.
