What needs the account PIN?
The changes the account PIN protects, and the everyday things that never ask for it.
Everyone in a household signs in with the same email and password, so the password can't keep one person's changes from another. The account PIN can. It protects the changes that affect the whole account, and KJPTV refuses them without it.
These need the account PIN
- Changing the password
- Turning two-factor sign-in on or off
- Signing out another device, or Sign Out Everywhere
- Set This As Home (your home network)
- Saving a device to a household profile
- Adding or removing a household profile
- Changing any profile's parental controls, or its PIN for mature titles
- Changing where referral money is paid
- Download My Data
These never need it
- Signing in, and signing yourself out
- Watching
- Entering a profile's PIN for mature titles
- Playback settings: autoplay, quality, audio, and subtitles
- Email settings and privacy settings
- Choosing a referral goal
Until you set a PIN, nothing asks for one. Once it's set, the page asks once and remembers it for ten minutes, so several changes in a row need it only once.
